Update

I am going back to Texas. I am packing some projects to work on while I am there. Mary Beth has a good friend that is expecting a baby girl in June. She picked out some fabric for burp clothes and I matched pink yarn to knit a hat. Burp clothes finished, only round 2 on the hat.

I finished knitting Barrett's bib!

Look who shows up to be fed -- a lonely female mallard. The other night she was waiting for us in the driveway.

I will be sure to post when I get back home in two weeks. This time I will remember to pack my camera!

Free Quilt Patterns

I am all about being thrifty! Did you now that WalMart offers free quilt patterns in the craft section of some of their store. The WalMart in Texas still has the old-fashion fabric center. The store even has the fabric that is used in the pattern. I can't wait to make the pillow.

I just happened to come across three Moda charm packs on a clearance table. Lucky me! Anyways, I clicked my link to the Moda Bakeshop website. There was this pattern. It was a marriage:
I can't wait to start this quilt either. But first, I must complete some UFO's.

Back from Texas!

I flew home this past Tuesday. Mary Beth and Barrett drove me to the airport. Baby was very good.

He loves his bath! I think he is going to grow up to love the water as much as his Granny.

What would a trip to Texas be if it did not include a trip to some quilt shops. I picked up a few Texas items at the Flying Needle Shop in Stephenville. All but the pillowcase kit where off the clearance table.
My daffy ducks were glad to see me return. They were laying under the tree in the front yard waiting for me to throw some corn to them.
