Trip to Harford County

So I grew up in Harford County and attended St. Margaret's School and Bel Air High. Last Saturday AJ and I attended a family function at his sister's house in Fallston. I always make the trip plans so I can make some special stops. This time AJ had a happy surprise. When we stopped in Chesapeake City for lunch and a yarn shop visit, the Lion's Club had a car show.
My favorite one
Yarn shop -- Vulcan Rest
My purchase - 6 blossom street balls and sock yarn mabe from chitin of crabs -- in the clearance of course

Lunch -- I love when they have a meatloaf special
Next stop was in Aberdeen at the Bouncing Bobbins quilt shop -- my purchases
Last stop was in Bel Air -- JoAnn's for dishcloth yarn and knitting needles

Thimbleberries Christmas

Since I have been home I have been trying to organize all my stuff - fabric, yarn, needle work. So, I pulled some Thimbleberries fat quarters out of a basket of fabric. This caused a trip to Peggys' shop to purchase a spiral table runner and the ruler that goes with it.

The fabric I found
What I chose for the project
Strips laid out in order
Quilted - just need to add the binding

UFO Challenge

I have been back home in Maryland for almost two months. Who ever thought being retired would be so tiring and busy.
One of the first things I did was attend August's UFO weekend at Peggy's Sewing Center. I actually worked on one of my UFOs.
I entered the UFO challenge for September, October, November, and December and signed up for all of 2015.
Need to finish piecing
Need to put on borders for both quilts
Need to quilt table topper and table runner
This need to be completely finished for September!!!!
My sheet to hand in at the quilt shop.
Peggy will randomly choose a number and I will need to finish what I have done for that project.
If I don't finish, I will need to put $5 in the kitty. Wish me luck!
