Back

I know a very long time but I am back. I want to post before I leave tomorrow for Salt Lake City.
So I am starting out again with some thrift store finds this month ---
Some yarn from the local shop that closed - $1 each

Table runner to finish.
A set of pillowcases to embroider.
Top from Talbot's with tags - $5 and I love it!
Syracuse China $1 each fro two different thrift stores.
Kit to quilt. I already have it ready in a hope.
That's all for now because I need to finish packing!!!

February Goals 2015

February is here! Wow --- time to write my 5 goals. I am going to go very modest since I only have 27 days left.

Here they are for better or worse:

1. Finish piecing March UFO on Peggy's Sewing Center challenge and  finish one other UFO from my pile.
2. Schedule my mammogram and get my shingles shot.
3. Walk 15 miles (seriously it seems low, but I need to factor weather and health)
4. Drink more water (at least 16 oz)
5. Knit a pair of yoga socks!!!

I hope to have updates end of next week with pictures. I think that is the only way to keep me honest.

January Update

January went by so fast! Did I complete my goals for the month?
#1. Complete 2 quilting UFOs (this includes quilting and attaching binding) --  NOPE finished the tops but did not quilt or put on binding
#2. Complete one small needlepoint project -- NOPE started and almost completed
#3. Start knitting a pair of socks -- NOPE
#4. Walk 40 miles -- NOPE walked 28 miles
#5. (And the most important) Schedule a doctors appointment -- YES

I think for February I need to be a little more realistic.

Here is what I have done and what what I projects I have in the works.
Knitted a hat and cowl for Mary Beth
Started a mystery quilt using my scraps
Finished AJ's Ravens quilt
Pulled March UFO out and hate the fabric
Started the small needlepoint
Knitted cable scarf for Anne Marie

2015 Goals for January and Progress

This year (with the help of Mary Beth), I am setting 5 goals for each month instead of resolutions for the year. I do believe this will be more doable.
#1. Complete 2 quilting UFOs (this includes quilting and attaching binding)
#2. Complete one small needlepoint project
#3. Start knitting a pair of socks
#4. Walk 40 miles
#5. (And the most important) Schedule a doctors appointment.

So here is my progress report:

I used my accuquilt to cut out triangles from all the brushed flannel fat quarters I had in my stash.
This is my first UFO completed for Peggy's Sewing center challenge. Now I need to get it quilted before the end of the month for my January goals.
This is what is on my Avante.
